I was taking some time and really studying some information on the marketing aspects of Twitter and the social marketing that businesses do on the internet. Well I came across some information on what Twitter might be doing about the split between personal tweets and business marketing tweets.
This blog where I found the information is about “Twitter Going Commercial With Commercial Accounts.”
Here is some of what they where talking about on this blog:
“No matter how much news Twitter generates the focus always returns to, and rightly so, how they plan to make money with the service. One of the options that are being discussed over at Digital Beat in an interview with none other than Biz Stone is the introduction of commercial level accounts that companies would – hold on to your seat here – pay for.”
(I recommend that you read more at: http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2009/08/twitter-to-go-commercial-with-commercial-accounts.html .)
This is very important information that concerns anyone that may be using Twitter as a means to promote a business or website, and I recommend that those that do make sure you start to pay attention because you may have to pay for your account in the future. To soon to say if this will be bad or good but I do know that either way the marketing strategies stay the same whether “personal or commercial” on Twitter.
